We received an excellent training session and some good pizza at the school compliments of Hurco and Rocky. This is the initial list of things to do and purchase.
Special Notes
- Better to use regular water with coolant as filtered/RO water tends to foam
- Mark from Hurco zero'd the machine which is a one time thing - z=-17.9564 (I think)
- WorkNC is the CAM software that Mark prefers
- Type of collet chucks - CAT40 ER32 - Lengths can vary
- A company called “techniques” I think he said - Could be a source for tooling donations
- I took a picture of techniksusa.com which might be that tooling source he meant
Todos
- Establish a position on the intranet (request a static ip address)
- Build a stable rolling tool shelf for collet chucks / work space
- Evaluate how many additional collet chucks to purchase in order to stock the carousel
- Meet and refresh ourselves on Start Up / Shut Down / and conversational programming
- Create an axis cheat sheet for posting
- Create a tooling chart that explains the what and why for the parameters that we end up choosing
- Create a tooling gage block that prevents tools being put in that are too long
- Create a special procedure for when we need to use tools that are too long for the carousel
- Rainx on viewing window
- Build our own touch tool with dial indicator?
- Begin populating this wiki with information and how-tos for the machine
- Get terminology correct and create glossary
